Social Media for Dummies?

Some of you may have noticed some not so subtle changes (blog makeover), on my blog recently...
and some subtle (added Ministries to header) changes.

I have written several times about Changes Coming
and although I have had some setbacks with health issues over the past year or so,
I have continued to work toward my certification in Clinical Counseling....
Friends out there--I will be 50 in July and want to share with you that in my younger days,
working as a passionate and energetic pastor, I allowed some disappointments in my job--and the things they told me I was or wasn't, limitations other people placed upon me--to hold me back from something I have
wanted to do most of my life. But I am here to tell you that learning should be something that is part of
our lifelong journey, and the more we challenge our mind as we age, the better off we are.
So, if there is something you want to do--perhaps go back to school and try a new career--do not let your age and fear hold you back! Do not let other people keep you from becoming everything God meant for you
to be and to accomplish. He created each of us with a purpose and a different temperament with strengths
and weaknesses. Sometimes other people may try to impede our growth because they have fears about their own inadequacy. See past it...keep moving forward, even if you cannot see the road ahead.

If I can do it, ANYBODY can....
I have had so many setbacks!
(Experiential learning...growth)

Some of my services will include:

Premarital Counseling
Grief Counseling
Temperament Therapy
Anxiety, Fear, Stress Counseling
Co-Dependency
Women's Issues (the area that I am most passionate)...

What's cool about counseling today is that we can SKYPE
and use Social Media to help our clients!
So....to make a long story short---
there will be changes coming in the next year, as I progress toward my goal.
One of the recent changes is on my sidebar....the links to all the social media...
This is a real challenge for me--I am just learning how to use Pinterest and I have barely checked
in on my Twitter account. I have a Facebook but I am not sure if anyone can see it or what they
can see! Social Media is a challenge for me! I am learning...but taking itsy bitsy baby steps.
If you join me on the social networks, please understand that I am a work in progress.
I have to thank my blog designer Traci Little of  Ordinary Inspirations for hooking me up with all of these great networking opportunities...if you get a chance, go check out her blog. She does beautiful
design work.

Meanwhile, Design by Insight is working on putting together my new prayer book,
Gratitude: 101 Prayers and Praises
which will be available sometime in March on Kindle and Nook.

You are such an inspiration. I am so happy for you! I have suffered with anxiety for years. I hid it because I was embarrassed and ashamed. It will throw me into panic attacks that I have learned to hide as well. My husband has encouraged me to talk to someone, but I never have. When you are available for consultation I would love to be a client of yours. You speak such truth and wisdom.
